With suitcases bulging with far too many clothes for every kind of weather, computers, cameras, adapters, chargers, etc., etc., it was finally time to close the door behind us (much easier this time living in an apartment) and ring for our very first Uber ride to the Overseas Passenger Terminal…. turned out to be a very positive experience, and fortunately he arrived in a 4-wheel drive!! It was around 2.30pm and many excited passengers, with loads of luggage, were processed quite quickly.
Not long after finding our cabin, we needed an afternoon cuppa and went straight to Horizon Court to catch our breath before looking up good friends, Barb & Ken who surprised Colin & I by telling us they were coming too, but only to Brisbane!! BUT the surprise didn't stop there as suddenly I spotted Ros & Arnold (who were meant to be getting on in Brisbane!!) and after lots of hugging they told us they also wanted to enjoy Barb & Ken's company all the way to Brissie.
Ros & Arnold then 'surprised' Barb & Ken at our designated time outside the dining room, so it was a very happy, long dinner had by all!!! We were then too tired to re-explore the ship, so it was an early night for us and so enjoyed some very gentle, familiar 'rocking' …. nice to be 'at sea again'.
