SUNDAY, 2ND JULY, 2017 – VANCOUVER, CANADA

An overnight in Vancouver and so happy to have some more time this morning to see a little more of this fabulous city, with wonderful waterfront.  It was great  just to be able to walk off the ship and wander for a few hours –- all aboard 12noon!

After all of yesterday's celebrations, the city was as clean as a whistle by the time we emerged, and  it was very quiet – no doubt many sore heads this morning!!  We walked back to the Olympic Cauldron and had a better look at this 33ft. high icon made of glass and steel – very impressive.

It is a breathtakingly beautiful city with zillions of dollars of yachts, houseboats and 'very big boats' berthed in the harbour right across the road from tall and sleek office buildings and expensive residential towers, along with the awesome backdrop of snow capped mountains – doesn't get much better than that!!!  Heard someone say that they can go skiing, surfing and play a round of golf, all in the one day here in Vancouver!!

Another sea day tomorrow and then another overnight in San Francisco….

**My photos start with the Granville Markets which I forgot to post yesterday – a truly fabulous public market, full of local fresh food (massive cherries and 'all' the fruit was big!!) and handmade goodies – it was buzzing!!  Water taxis and water buses coming and going, and loads of pleasure craft, along with hoards of people - such a great place to sit and watch 'everyone and everything'…..
