WEDNESDAY, 7TH JUNE, 2017 – INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA

SEOUL Continued…..

After lunch in a cute, traditional Korean BBQ restaurant up a narrow alleyway, we walked down a fabulous strip of wonderful shops.   On our bus again to the amazing Gyeongbok Palace which is a feast of lavish carved-roof structures, intricately decorated with vibrant, hand painted designs, one after the other.  Young girls/ladies who hire traditional colourful dresses wander around, giggling and taking photos of themselves.   We then rested for a while in the National Folk Museum which was very interesting and had a coffee.

Back on the mini bus which took us to Hanock Village, an area of traditionally restored homes and it was delightful.  Another market stop, so bright and colourful with vendors selling everything from silk materials to pig's snouts!!!

Last stop was to the Namsan Seoul Tower with spectacular views over the city, even though it was not a clear day.  All around the observation deck were millions of love padlocks, didn't buy one but did get a 'smooch'!!

What a very full, interesting day and Seoul is a truly lovely city!!
